ADMISSIONS

​We appreciate the opportunity to provide information about the application procedure for Cornerstone Christian Academy (CCA). We are pleased that you would consider giving our school the opportunity to be involved in your child's education. Please give careful attention to the information provided in this section of our website if you desire to enroll a student at Cornerstone Christian Academy.

Cornerstone Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, national origin, or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship programs, financial assistance and loan programs, athletic programs, and other school administered programs and activities.

ADMISSION STEPS

Step One

Complete the online application

Once you create an account in the system, you will be able to save the application if you cannot complete it in one session.

(Parents will be responsible to pay additional fees if no test scores are available or the administrator deems testing necessary to determine placement.)

Step Two

Send all required items to CCA.

  1. Application fee of $150.00 first student, $75.00 each additional student (**This fee is non-refundable.**)  This fee is payable directly to the school.

  2. Copy of most recent report card.

  3. Transcripts from all previous schools. (Incoming Records Request Form available below)

  4. Copy of most recent standardized achievement test scores, if available.

  5. Copy of certified Birth Certificate. (Students entering Kindergarten or First Grade.)

  6. VA School Entrance Health Exam form.  (Students entering school for the first time, available below.)


Step Three

Interview will be scheduled.

You will be notified when all your documents and payment have been received.  You will be able to check the progress of your application online here.  Your family will be asked to meet with the Admissions Committee to discuss your application and give you the opportunity to ask any questions.  Participation by both parents in the interview is required. 

Step Four

Determination Letter will be sent.

After all of the above steps have been completed, the Admissions Committee will review and rule on the application.  Notification of acceptance will be sent by email, and a response must be received within ten business days.  Completed immunization forms must be returned to the office before the student can attend school.  (VA Schools Immunization Form Below)  We partner with FACTS for our tuition management.  The responsible party must go to FACTS and sign up for the payment plan they would like to choose.

All students are considered to be on probation for their first nine weeks at Cornerstone Christian Academy.  Excessive behavior problems or extremely poor academic performance may result in dismissal or recommendation to a lower grade level.

TUITION ASSISTANCE

Cornerstone Christian Academy wants to put excellent Christ-centered, classical education within the reach of all families. When scholarship funds are available, preference will be given to those who have completed the application process in the order that the applications were received. This assistance will be awarded based on financial need with the financial assessment completed by the FACTS Grant & Aid Program.

​All applications should be completed by May 1, 2024 to be considered for scholarship assistance. 

The hallmark of Christian schools is a generous tuition assistance program. We currently have a waiting list of families who need assistance in order to attend CCA in the fall.

Please complete each step below. 

Step One

Complete the online application for each child you wish to enroll here.

Step two

Complete the FACTs Grant & Aid assessment form online here. (Please note there is a $35 fee per family for this service.)

Step Three

Entrance/placement testing will be completed and a family interview will be scheduled.

Step Four

You will be notified in writing of eligibility and acceptance.   Determination is based on eligibility as determined by FACTs Grant & Aid in the order in which applications are received.

You have 10 days from the date of the notification to accept the tuition assistance.
